Teaching Ella to Read Blog

Ella is our third daughter. She is truly a miracle child who came to us almost 12 years after what we thought was our last child. She has been a blessing for many reasons, but one of my favorites is that I got to teach her how to read using all the experience I garnered both teaching my first two children to read but also the experience I had teaching first grade.

I won’t write a lot in this blog post because it is about another blog. I want you to read the Ella blog. If you have bought into what I’m selling here at Phonogram University, you should most definitely take a few hours to read through the blog about teaching Ella to read. I detailed so many things, including both the frustrations and joys of teaching your child to read. But there is so much more.

If you are interested in reading the blog visit the site here:  Teaching Ella to Read Blog. If you prefer a PDF, which I recommend, you can click on the link below. If you read it on the website, you will have to click the Archive link to January 2010, go to the bottom of the page, and scroll up as you read the blog. You will need to repeat that for each month, hence the recommendation to read it via the PDF.

On the Blog page there is a list of beginner books Ella read. It took a lot of work to find all these books which she could read early on so feel free to leverage the work I did. You will see the Books Read and Tested at the top of the Blog page (or you can use the link provided above.
